Thank you for choosing GreatShire as the kennel to purchase your new puppy. We are sure that you will be delighted with what a loving and loyal companion your puppy will be, as you bring him/her into your family.

1. All puppies are guaranteed to be free of communicable diseases at time of sale. The buyer MUST have puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hrs from date of delivery. Failure to do so will result in any and all guarantees being cancelled. Seller accepts no responsibility for any communicable diseases after 48 hrs.

2. If a serious health problem is noted during the above examination, seller must receive a written statement from buyer’s veterinarian within 7 days from date of examination. Upon verification by seller’s veterinarian of stated health problem, puppy must be returned to seller, unless otherwise agreed by seller. When available, the buyer will be provided with another puppy of the same sex, quality and value.

3. All puppies are guaranteed to be free of any birth defects for up to 1 year. Problems must be reported within 1 year from date of sale and confirmed by a licensed veterinarian.

4. All puppies are guaranteed to be free of Crippling Hip Dysplasia up to 3 years.

5. Upon knowledge of birth defect, genetic defect, or Crippling Hip Dysplasia, buyer agrees to have his/her veterinarian provide seller with proof of problem within 7 days of occurrence. Pet quality puppies will not be replaced unless condition is life threatening or severely lowers the quality of life. Buyers of show/breeding puppies are given one of the following 2 options:

A. Buyer may keep original puppy and have it spayed/neutered. After providing seller with confirmation of spay/neuter and returning AKC registration papers, buyer may have ½ of the original purchase price of said puppy, deducted from the purchase price of another show/breeding puppy when available.

B. Buyer may return original puppy to seller along with all veterinary records and AKC registration papers. Seller will provide buyer with replacement puppy of same quality/value when available.

 

6. No replacements will be given due to problems that result from buyer neglect. However, if neglect is noted, buyer agrees to return dog to seller.

7. No guarantees are made regarding temperament. The temperament of your puppy is based on the amount of time YOU give to your dog and to its development and socialization. Puppy Kindergarten/Puppy Obedience classes are recommended for all puppies. Proper socialization and training is a must for your puppy to be a well-adjusted, welcome member to your family.

8. Although we try to predict mature size of our pups, we do not guarantee it.

9. In all cases where a replacement is to be made by seller, the buyer agrees to return the puppy along with AKC papers and veterinary records to the seller unless otherwise agreed upon by seller. Buyer agrees to follow recommended vaccination schedule and vet exams for the puppy. Buyer agrees to provide yearly vet exams.

10. Seller is not responsible for any problems with landlord, family members, or allergy. Seller will help in placement of the puppy if buyer is unable to keep him/her for any reason.

11. Seller is NOT responsible for ANY vet bills incurred.

12. Any and all deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.

12. Contract is not valid unless signed.

14. All guarantees are null and void if buyer fails to follow any of the above stated terms.
